Build for your map instead of a universal tier list

Combine compatible damage, Ghost coverage, an armor answer and useful support. Adapt the lineup to your collection and opening budget.

◉ Trainer field notes

Three pairs with different jobs

Choose one example for the problem you have; these rows are not one universal team.

Blissey + Soft-Boiled: ₽3,350

Complementary pairCombined costRole and tradeoff
Charmander + Squirtle₽400Two affordable attack types; ₽300 remains in an easy Classic opening.
Charmander + Gastly₽500Fire damage plus Ghost revelation; default Ghost still fails against Normal.
Tyranitar + Blissey₽3,950A later collection build: all-in-range Rock damage plus support.

Try it in this order

  1. Identify the next immunity, crowd, armor or support problem.
  2. Buy the missing role before duplicating your strongest attacker.
  3. For a late support build, keep attackers inside the aura and check the full upgrade budget.

The last pair costs far more than an opening budget. Soft-Boiled is additional; identical aura categories use only the strongest effect.

Start with the next wave and your budget

Choose the map and mode, then inspect enemy types and starting resources. Easy Classic starts with ₽700 and 120 lives, while hard maps start with ₽600 and 80 lives; Story and Tower have their own values. Purchase an affordable opening attacker before chasing expensive final forms. Add another damage type when the first has an immunity gap. Selecting 12 collection lines in the team builder does not make them affordable or remove placement restrictions.

Cover what headline DPS misses

Area damage helps against groups, large individual hits help against armor, and Ghost sight stops hidden enemies bypassing otherwise powerful units. Check resistance and immunity before relying on stun, sleep or slow. A money-maker improves later spending but delays immediate damage. A buffer outside its aura radius contributes nothing to its intended partner. Inspect the actual fields and map diagram, then place supports where their effects overlap the attackers that need them most.

Compare useful alternatives under the same conditions

Johto adds healers, evolving enemies and Sturdy survivors, so a launch-era Kanto lineup may miss its main threats. Tyranitar's current line attacks everything in range with Rock; Crunch changes the attack type. Blissey's upgraded support combines damage and faster attacks, while other buffers offer different choices. Compare those roles against the next difficult wave, then try the formation in the original Sandbox. A planning estimate explains tradeoffs but does not establish a tested clear, win rate or optimal team.
