Achievement goals and honest local tracking
There are 26 original-game badges. Several older goals still count Kanto progress even though Johto expands the current collection and map list.

26 Achievements · Kanto: 8 Maps
| Achievements | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Ghost Buster | Defeat 100 Ghost-type enemies across counted runs. |
| Egg Hatcher | Complete 25 egg hatches. |
| Evolution Expert | Perform 50 evolutions. |
| World Traveler | Win Classic on all eight Kanto maps. |
Try it in this order
- Read whether the badge counts species, collection lines, waves or a named region.
- For World Traveler, check the eight Kanto Classic maps rather than all sixteen maps.
- Confirm the award on the original Trainer card, then update the local checklist.
The local tracker grants no original-game badge. Kanto-only legacy goals do not silently expand when Johto adds content.
Keep each achievement's real denominator
The game contains 251 species across 142 selectable collection lines, with evolutions and branches sharing their collection context. The older collection badge asks for all Kanto lines, not all current species. World Traveler and No Fear count the eight Kanto maps in Classic or Hardcore, and the original Story-completion badge follows Kanto's chapter list. Do not replace those goals with all 16 maps or 251 species. Check the badge's specific region and unit of progress before deciding what remains.
Choose the next measurable objective
Ghost Buster requires 100 Ghost defeats, Evolution Expert needs 50 evolutions, and Egg Hatcher needs 25 hatches. Longer goals include 250 evolutions, 100 hatches and 50 learned signature moves. Endless badges use thresholds such as 30 and 50 waves. Daily Devotion requires earning the Daily Egg for seven consecutive days; it is not simply seven total challenge attempts. Choose a goal that matches a mode you already want to play and check its exact condition before spending persistent coins.
Use a checklist without claiming an unlock
This guide can store owned lines and planned badge progress locally, with export and restore for another device. It neither reads your Trainer account nor awards original-game badges. Story's My Pokémon route also does not count progression statistics in the same way as rewarded Story Team runs. If a badge appears missing, inspect its mode, region and counter before assuming a cloud failure. Verify the completed requirement on the original Trainer card, then update your local checklist to match what the game actually awarded.
